Man gets prison for Tucson jewelry store burglary
TUCSON, Ariz.. (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty to burglarizing a jewelry store in Tucson has been sentenced to 3 ½ years in prison.
Pima County prosecutors say 41-year-old Daniel Edward Farrell was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty last month to third-degree burglary.
Authorities say Farrell used a saw to cut his way through the roof of Sheffield's Diamonds in April 2010,
causing more than $ 120,000 in property damage.
DNA evidence at the scene linked Farrell to the incident and he was arrested at a relative's home in Sierra Vista, in January.
Farrell says he was on drugs at the time of the burglary and "left in the middle of it."
A judge ordered to pay restitution Farrell to the jewelry store.
Both Kay Jewelers and Riddle's Jewelry at the Westland Mall were robbed.
West Burlington Police received the call a little before 4 am
There was a pursuit with Des Moines County Police as well as Warren County deputies.
According to West Burlington Police Chief Frank Newberry, there are suspects in custody for questioning but no arrest have been made.
Police Tellows have an estimated value of how much jewelry was stolen. An investigation is underway.
Lohan is officially a suspect in a theft earlier this month of $ 100,000 worth of watches and sunglasses from a Southern California home where she attended a party, according to TMZ.
Lohan, in turn,
is blaming a man who says he's Suge Knight's son.
The items were stolen from Sam Magid, who is reportedly a friend of Lohan's.
So the obvious question is this: What Amanda Bynes the getaway driver?
On Monday, Magid told cops Monday he contacted two of Lohan's friends who were at the party with her - one of whom is Andrew Knight. Both people said Lohan allegedly handed them a bag with some of the stolen items wrapped in her T-shirt. The men returned the items to Magid, though other items were still missing.
Magid said he so what. In touch with Lohan, who allegedly told him she hid some items around the house because she was afraid they would be stolen by burglars
Of course she did. What are friends for?
TMZ says Magid told police Lohan confessed she was on Ambien at the time she hid the jewelry and was hazy about exactly what happened.
Now Lohan claims Knight is the real culprit,
something he strongly denies. So - as we suspect she probably has been all along - Lohan is the official target of the investigation.
It would probably be more practical to pray for Amanda Bynes to win the Indianapolis 500
TMZ allegedly heard from a source who said Monday Magid gave police Ziploc bags containing some of the stolen items. In addition to the watches and sunglasses, Tiffany monogrammed silverware So what supposedly taken.
