Three indicted in Oak Ridge Stickup
CLINTON - Three men face arraignment May. 10 on charges they robbed a woman at gunpoint Powell stealing, her purse containing cash and jewelry worth an estimated $ 28.280.
Accused of aggravated robbery and theft of more than $ 10,000 in connection with the Dec. 1, 2011, heist are Stotelmyer Jeffrey Lynn,
21, of Andersonville, Randall Scott Henderson, 22, of Norris and Terry Allen Giles, 32, of Powell.
They were indicted by an Anderson County grand jury Sept. 18, and the charges were made public this week.
Stotelmyer was identified as a suspect in late March,
and he implicated the other two suspects, Anderson County Sheriff's Department Cpl. Joshua Cardwell stated in a warrant.
After discussing a proposed Stickup while at Giles' residence early May. 1, the trio "walked the streets of the neighborhood, looking for someone to commit a robbery against," the warrant states.
The victim was accosted outside her residence,
and Giles wore a ski mask and pointed what Stotelmyer said appeared to be a toy gun at her during the holdup, it continues.
Some of the stolen jewelry was recovered at Knoxville area businesses that buy gold, the warrant states.
Arraignments will.
